Fred Rogers

“Anything that’s human is mentionable, and anything that is mentionable can be more manageable. When we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.”

Sometimes in life we all need a boost of support. We may even need to learn new skills to help us function better. Inherently people want to do well in life, so if you are currently not doing well, something must be standing in your way. Through understanding your concerns and perspectives, we can better understand how you are being affected in different aspects of your life. We will collaborate and problem solve together to set goals and achieve them. Treatment will focus on helping you understand your strengths, what lagging skills may be contributing to difficulties or challenges, and what steps can be taken to learn these skills. You do not need to be at your darkest hour to seek support from a therapist, but even if you are, together we can move towards a future that is brighter for you.

Adolescents and Young Adults

Learning New Skills for Success

All people do well if they can. Adolescents and young adults are motivated to do well, but are often lacking the skills to do so. By understanding your concerns, exploring steps that can be taken to learn lagging skills, and a collaborative problem solving approach, we can increase your self efficacy and independence.

Family Therapy & Parenting Skills

Quality Care

For families, it is important that all members collaborate together in order to make lasting change during treatment. Parents may also seek support with challenging behaviors they are experiencing within the home and to increase their effectiveness as parents.

Here for You

Becoming a new parent is often a challenge we are underprepared for. It can be a difficult transition for many, especially mothers. If you are struggling during this overwhelming time in your life, you are not alone and talking to someone can often be helpful to get the support you need!

About Me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW). I graduated from University of Denver in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and Criminology, with a minor in Communications.  I returned home to Massachusetts where I worked in a residential treatment center before going back to school for my Master's in Social Work. I graduated from Boston College in 2013. I worked for six years doing intensive in-home therapy with kids and families. In 2016 I opened my own private practice part-time and in 2019 moved full-time into private practice. I have worked with kids, teens, and adults both younger and older. I am particularly passionate about helping younger adults transition successfully into independent adulthood.

Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional therapist to get to the root of your problems can support you in making positive changes. I care about your well-being and provide you with the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most challenging circumstances. I truly believe that even on the darkest days, brighter futures can lie ahead.
